Summer Slam Tournament
September 11 - 13, 2009

THE ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY SUMMER SLAM RECAP

Marking eleven years of fun and fishing, the annual Summer Slam Tournament held on September 11th-13th at Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa turned out to be a great success! The Eleventh Anniversary celebration brought out familiar faces as well as those we haven’t seen in a while.

Over 130 anglers participated in the tournament, including 15 female anglers who competed in the Ladies Division. The combined divisions scored 229.2 pounds of snook, redfish and snapper.

Although redfish have been hard to find in our waters lately, a majority of the teams entered the Hooters Catch the Big Ones Redfish Bonanza action as well.

Check-in was from 6:00am-8:00am at the Pink Shell Marina where teams were given Culligan Water and great lunches provided by the Artistic Deli. Anglers were allowed to put their lines in at 7:00am.

The weigh station opened from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and there were plenty of spectators watching the teams come in and weigh their fish.
