Official Caloosa Grand Championship Rules

These rules are subject to change and will be updated as needed.

The official and final rules will be provided and covered at the Caloosa Grand Championship Friday evening, November 7th, 2008 during the Captains Meeting at Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa. All Anglers are responsible for having knowledge of tournament rules and Florida State Fishing Laws.

The Caloosa Grand Championship is a light tackle inshore fishing tournament for ladies and gentlemen. All scoring will be done by live catch, weigh and release. The winner will be determined by the heaviest combined weight of (1) one Redfish and (1) one Snook.

ELIGIBLE SPECIES
- Snook
- Redfish

POINTS SYSTEM
Points will be awarded only for fish caught and released in good condition. Every effort should be made to assure the live release of all fish. Snook and Redfish will be awarded points for overall weight in pounds of fish caught.  Weight measurements will be rounded to the nearest 1/100 of a pound. Culling is permitted. Each team may weigh in (2) two fish per eligible species. The largest fish caught (per each species) will count towards scores. No more than a tournament limit of fish will be counted.

SCORING PROCEDURES
Team anglers will catch fish within minimum and maximum measurement requirements. Fish will be brought back to tournament weigh site to be measured and weighed by Official Tournament Weigh Master. All teams must verify and sign recorded score cards. Team anglers may cull fish until their daily weigh limit is caught. In the event of a fish being over or under the slot limit that fish will be scored as a “No Weight” and receive a (0) score for that fish. It does not disqualify him from tournament participation.
